Could be used to block the gps transmission from cars if it's stolen or youre running from something. Cell phones if stolen, person is running, or you kidnapped someone. And many other gps based electronics.
I can see lots of thieves wanting this as well as other criminals.

This is what I was thinking. If you steal any new GM with OnStar, then you can disable the GPS and have the vehicle untrackable.

This jammer interferes with radionav satellite signals GPS units use to calculate position, but I wouldn't think it would block transponders located on a car unless they are operating on the same GPS L1 1575.42MHz frequency.
I'd expect *those* type of transponders to operate on a government-use frequency prohibited from civilian use or interference by the FCC, but that's just a guess.
Also, I'm not sure using radio jammers isn't illegal in the US.Men have become the tools of their tools.
