    • When my dad was between heavy duty trucks he used his 97 V6 F-150 to tow his 58 Impala convertible in an enclosed trailer. I don't know how, but it did it with no issues.

I used to haul a three horse slant load trailer loaded down with my 83 f150 with a 302, but I couldnt get in a hurry. They had something like 122hp back then.

don't get me wrong, a dually is always nice for pulling... more stability, more safety if you happen to blow out a rear tire, etc. But if it's a truck that I'm driving daily or even regularly without a trailer in tow? I'm taking a SRW truck every time.

I'd rather have an SRW truck with commercial 19.5's on it than a DRW truck. They are just a pain in the ass IMO
The only thing that truck does is drag around the race car. Checking the air is a GIANT pain. I'd get some of those valve stem spiders but they want too much for a set.

Dude, you spent $800 on fuel fittings for this car, and you already had a complete fuel system. Why not do something for the truck that makes pre-race activity less of a PITA?

Yeah, I guess I can see how being frustrated and preoccupied at the beginning of a race could be an advantage.

$150 for two short lengths of hose and a coupler isn't worth it. You forget, with that $800 I replaced the ENTIRE fuel system except for the pump and injection. Methanol also attacks metals and breaks them down. The fuel system was 7 years old and needed to be replaced.

Wait, wut? I'm talking about checking the air on the truck. I think you're confusing regular checks (that occur the day before the race) with things that happen at the track.

FYI, the 91 just went up for sale. People seem to be paying ridiculous sums for those old bastards.

Got any lines on 3/4 ton club/quad short bed's?

Dude, you ever seen what some of the dirt tracker's tow rigs and trailers look like when they roll in? Apparently being frustrated and preoccupied is the status quo.

Shit, mine is posted above. I can't afford a nice truck/trailer and race at the same time.
