For the love of god can we put all of our detective skills to work on this one and figure out who this is? This is one instance where I feel her employer needs to know about her personal feelings on the matter. Where abouts is the subject located? I am willing to volunteer a little bit of time to this one.

I guarantee that the police will be called. Ask them who complained, or just submit an FOI request for the call sheet. It will have the complaining party/name/address/phone number that the call came from.

Or, go door to door and see what woman is home during the day that is within ear shot. That should narrow it down.

You should plaster that letter all over the neighborhood... Or you could send that letter to everyone in the neighborhood within a four block area. Kindly asking for who wrote the letter. I promise everyone one is going to become very open to her and her childcare and the other person is going to live in shame.
