I just sold my v1 for a 9500ix, and they both perform great.

The only thing that I like about the v1 more than the 9500 are the arrows, but I love the fact that the 9500 warns you about red light cameras and also has gps to tell you your speed.

9500 also looks much more modern, the v1 looks outdated.

I just bought a Passport 9500ix. I got the Blendmount mirror mount and mirrortap wiring kit to get power from your mirror. Nice clean install. Still playing with it to learn how to use it to it's potential. I bought mine used on EBay for $320 delivered. Beats the hell out of new prices!

I can't count how many people I've stopped with radar detectors.

No kidding. When I was a city cop I got them all the time. For what its worth, if you have a radar detector, it was always an automatic ticket from me. Shows you intend to speed... a lot. Now I have people fly past my patrol car because it is an isd vehicle and they think we can't write tickets.

"use, attempt to use, install, operate, or attempt to operate" a laser diffuser/shifter/jammer"

in texas its a ticket if they can find it/prove it operational as of 09/1/11

I got pulled over for my Tint, my AS1 line was too low. Didn't cite me for 10% on the front two.

I have mine mounted on my Tahoe below the rear mirror. It ties right into the power mirror settings.
