Ok I am in the market for a Radar Detector and was seeing what you guys have. I think I have narrowed it down to the Passport 9500xi or the V1. I'm leaning more to the Passport since I have a best buy card and can get 0% interest for 18 months to pay it off haha.

yeah that's a good point and I'm usually good with situational awareness and paying attention but it's always nice to have when you do tend to go over the speed limit from time to time.

I had the 8500 and it was great. What little I played with the 9500 I didn't care for. Seemed like a lot more teaching it when not to false read stuff

I've got the Escort Passport 9500ix, great radar dectector. Wish I would have got this one awhile back. Pricey but worth it

But lol @ 18 months to pay off a radar detector. It's all about priorities.

I have the 9500ix and it has saved my ass a hundred times. Get the hard wiring kit and run the wires up the pillar across the headliner to the rear view. That way you can hide it behind the rear view mirror so the cops don't see it.

The red light camera alerts are helpful too.

Highly recommend it.

Only if the cop is broadcasting a signal.

The smart ones wait until they see a target traveling at a higher rated of speed and then light it up. Then it's too late for the driver....

It's kind of like fishing. You don't get every fish in the pond. You get a couple of keepers and go home...
