There is an old guy at the nursing home where my Mom is that is 95. He is an Omaha Beach survivor from WW2. He is a retired colonel. He still stands straight as an arrow, and is still in very good shape. I think he could still defend himself pretty well. I was told that he said that he killed 57 Germans that first day. He said he was not proud of it, also he was not ashamed of it either. There are very few of them left now.
