You may end up there and it can be a pain. If you have a lakehouse with a dock then having multiple is cake. Heck, our lakhouse isn't on the water but it's only .5 miles to a private ramp and it is still a pain. We use the ski boat and 2 PWCs most weekends. We have an aluminum bass boat too but we rarely end up with all 4 in the water at once. I spend most of my weekends filling things with gas, cleaning them, trailering them, putting them back in the barn, blah blah blah.
Saying all that: It's work but I love it. I've been my families personal marina service for the last 15 years and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
...I can't wait for this friday around lunch so I can drive down and start pulling the Armada out of the barn

haha, I can understand it Treybiz. My one boat is sitting where I'm trying to buy the new boat and if the deal ain't sealed it's getting yanked from there. It's "work" but worth it. My yard and other responsibilities are really lacking right now due to boating. Even in my 16' boat I'd rather be on it than working around the house.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Pontoon boat
If I were ever in the market for a pontoon, I would look no farther than a Bennington. I saw the very first one last weekend on Lake Ouachita in AR and I was blown away. Huge 4 stroke 250 and all the seating room on it. I watched it get on plane and was impressed. I bet it would run 45. They certainly are the top shelp pontoon to have. I would trade my 22' bowrider for one of those but it's paid for. I like em alot.

I agree, they are real pretty but as far as I can tell - if you're willing to pay for the features most brands will do the same stuff. Meaning, if you're looking at 60-100K+ boats there are a lot of options out there for that too. Personally I don't want to go above 22' as I can find covered slips for 99 a month /1000 a year. Past that is 26' usually (where I need them) and 300-500 a month.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Then again, I do take my water sports a little to serious.
I had my mind set on a tournament boat again this year and stuck with an I/O Family Rig... I realized: I don't wakeboard like I used to, my buddies are always busy, and Junior isn't big enough to start yet. A nice, decently fuel efficient I/O is all we need at this point. When momma can drive this boat better and the Runt is ready to be at the end of a tow rope I will go shopping.
And I like Pontoon Boats. I would own one If I had needs like the OP.

Anyway, as said - if I was addicted to water sports - doubt I'd be looking at a pontoon. I have friends with the faster boats - so that maybe how it works out long term. Use mine for chillin', fishing and storage, use their for all the other fun stuff that requires the speed.Last edited by ceyko; 08-14-2013, 09:39 AM.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.
