What do you guys know about these? Any major issues overall? Anything to look at specifically?

PM Paul (greenbullit). I was looking at these a while back, and we talked about the problems. It's been so long, I really can't remember, though. 2007 was the first year of the new body style, so some of the issues may have been corrected by 2008.

Oh, and the EL ones are dirt cheap from what I've seen.

What do you need the truck for? I was considering getting one, but ended up with a 2010 SHO

we had an 07 EL Limited and loved it. I don't recall any issues with it. The EL is nice cause you have a lot of space for those long trips, even with the 3rd row up. The regular Expy with the 3rd row leaves you with about enough room to fit a stroller.

The only major issue I can think of was a weird electrical issue where the instrument cluster would go haywire at times. Fortunately is was still under warranty so it didn't cost me anything. That issue ate Ford's lunch. They had it for a couple weeks, flew some electrical engineer in and finally traced it back to a loose pin in a connector somewhere behind the back panel.

Yea, I don't think this is the EL. I believe it is the normal XLT. We have a 2000 XLT and this pretty much looks exactly the same with the exception of the third row folding down instead of having to be pulled out on the 2000.

I would like to get in a mid size SUV but none of those can hold a stroller, from what I have seen.

                I hate car shopping.

yeah, that 3rd row folding flat was a big selling point for us along with the automatic lift gate. IIRC, the same year Tahoe also had to be pulled out and since the wife was driving it, that wasn't going to happen.

06 is old body style. Are the tires the LTX? Miles?

Aren't those that when you do a tune up on them (5.4) the plugs are likely to break? And the removal tool is a PITA?

Yes. Going to have to get rid of it.
