Why I changed my mind on weed

Synthetic is far more harmful than natural, IMO. As for the paranoia, laziness, etc - I think those types of people would be that way without the drug. Im not denying they exist, we all know they do. Same thing with the whole gateway drug viewpoint. Those people would have ended up on drugs, whether pot existed or not. And I whole heatedly agree with your last statement. In my life I've known a ton of people who can't function due to prescription pill addictions. And I know people that run multi million dollar companies that smoke pot, and are brilliant. In short, fuck ups will be fuck ups, until they make being stupid a crime. Drugs, booze, scripts - they all affect people differently, and I'd even say a lot of them go overboard. But it is what it is. I've got more important shit to worry about than the legalization/decriminalization of drugs. I do think the entire war on drugs is retarded, but it's a cash cow and Uncle Sam loves his money.

I agree with this to some degree on the marijuana level. If they legalize weed then go after the guys making crack and meth harder. I would call that a good compromise. That shit fucks people up badly.

I am not sure though you make sense with the last statement. If legalized I believe the government would make more in tax dollars on it. Plus think of the money you save by not having the war on drugs. Equipment, lives, manpower, etc etc.

Weed being illegal is some of the dumbest shit ever, along with steroids.

Over use of steroids can absolutely kill you. I had a friend that called them the fountain of youth that died recently from heart failure at a young age. I get the whole who cares what you do with your own body theory but sometimes it is better you are not allowed to over indulge in things..

bud will fuck you up some if you use it chronically. i had a bout of pleurisy (lung inflammation) flare up from a night of heavy smoking some killer dro, felt like a heart attack to me from symptoms i've read. went to the er the next morning since my chest was still hurting to find out it was pleurisy.

my lungs hurt for a solid two months after that. i smoked pretty much every day since i was 16 (24 now) and i've been clean for 6 months. i had a good run, but if i ever do get high again later in my life, ill be using edibles/oil!

Responsible use of steroids can yield amazing results for all kinds of applications though. They're already regularly used in the medical field anyway. You can OD on every pain medication. There's always the too much of a good thing factor and there will always be people that ignore that factor.

I don't see weed any different from Beer or Alcohol! Its something people do to take the edge off after work & relax, Don't understand why people are against it & its against the law. It needs to be legalized & it would solve the Cartel problem in Mexico & create Tax money for the Government. But there is a bigger picture that is over my head & not sure what it is.
