318s are pretty pointless for a swap that makes torque. They use the open small case differential (168mm vs 188mm and 210mm in the euro cars) and have way weaker suspension mounting points. Even when swapping an M/S50/52 people do the akg reinforcement kits on the subframes, rtab pockets and rsms.
Its much better to start with an inline 6 model.

That being said, if you part it I need some stuff ;-)

exactly what i was going to say.... I'd be a little worried about just getting rid of it though, worry that the kid might be vindictive and do something to your shop when he returns and finds out the car is now MIA

I think a member here and I have it figured out. If not I will go through the couple month ordeal of getting a lien on it.

The kid don't care, he just wanted $200 for it. So I will hold the money for a couple months and if he shows I will let him have half of what I get, ya know storage and diagnostics and such. If he don't show up after a couple more months then I will buy beer.

Kid left the car at first without leaving me a key or anything. Now he is MIA. I have asked him 4 times to get the car out of here. I feel bad for him but he was told it had a bad water pump and not to drive it. He ignored the advice and drove it from Arlington to Waco before it let go.

Someone mentioned it, seems like a great lemons car...

or just push it in the street somewhere and have it towed by the county, state...whatever.

Dang, I figured it would be worth more than that. Ive always loved that body style. So I guess even a used head is pretty expensive?

                          Tried and true tactic.

                          Let the city impound it.

Why not part it out? I would think European parts fetch more money.

Extremely difficult to find, and yes pretty pricey when you do.
