  • Verizon vs Att vs sprint

I've had Verizon pretty much since cell phones came out. No issues with their service but through our company I've always had a 20 pct discount on my bill. Plus I'm grandfathered into unlimited data which they dont offer anymore but downside I can't ever get a subsidized phone, I have to pay full cash price. Well now our company is switching carriers and offering a discount of 25pct on Att and not Verizon, so my bill is going to jump a significant amount since my whole family is on it (5 lines).

Wondering if i should switch carriers. How is Att reception and their 4G speeds /service? Comparable to Verizon? But then I like that sprint has unlimited everything plans, how do they compare?

Reception is great, no issues with dropped calls and 4g speeds (LTE) are great. I get 15-20mbps in most places, some I get over 40mbps...

Never had sprint, so I can only compare to Verizon. IMHO, ATT > Verizon...

It's gonna depend on what phones you run to some extent. Almost everyone I know has Verizon and standing together our 4g speed varies from phone to phone.

I never any issues with my company phone when it was AT&T but just the fact that I have to deal with them every month cuz they fuck up my cable bill is more than enough to never go to them on cell phones.

Most of my friends have ATT and I always laugh when they cant get any service or get 4G and my phone works fine. I have never dropped a call and the ATT does all the time. I always hear my tech complain if he walks in the building while on the phone cause it drops the call.

I haven't had Sprint in about 4 years but hated them and still do.

As far as the phone upgrades, they are cheap if you shop online for them. If you have unlimited data on all 5 phones then you are better off keeping what you have. Figure your plan will double in cost and you will only have 4-8 GB per month depending on contract and they really charge you big time for overages. So calculate the new cost difference over 2 years for the service and see if that's cheaper then getting the $100 special renewal price on a new phone every two years.

I have used Sprint for a little over 13years now. To begin, they were the best! Had all the good phones, first color screen....they were keeping up.

Today, I struggle to get cell reception in my house. I called and they sent me a little Airwave box, which did help. I drop calls in my neighborhood, cant make any calls from inside my office. Lose reception just driving from 1/4 mile to the next.

After all those years, I am looking to switch this November when my contract is up. The one thing that sucks is that I am also grandfathered in to $40 a month w/ unlimited everything.

My wife had a Sprint phone and the unlimited data was awesome when she had service, unfortunately though where most of the Army bases are they are pretty weak. Verizon though has had a strong 4G signal almost everywhere we've been.

Unfortunately though at my current office in Haltom City I'm getting -114dBm 4G signal, which is pretty much useless. Verizon is very weak in this area for some reason. Good thing we'll be moving to Burleson soon.

As much as I hate AT&T, I can say that I have had them easily for 7 years and I would have to admit I haven't had a dropped call in a LONG time, gotta be a year or so. Data speeds are good too.

I had sprint for a couple years and it sucked people would literally be standing next to me and call and I wouldn't get their call I also hated their customer service. Switched to Att and never looked back great service, 4g is awesome, and they always have the latest phones.

I have Verizon and love it. Customer support sucks to get a hold of but when you finally do they correct the problem pretty quickly. Great phones and the best service. The only time I get dropped calls is when I'm talking to an AT&T customer.

I'm having the same issues with Sprint! They recently added an $80 credit to my account to apologize for their shitty service. They also claimed within the next six months they would have a solid 4G network.

Everyone loves to hate on Sprint. I've had Sprint for four years now and have had a great experience. The rates are super cheap, I have unlimited everything and great service where I live.

Yes, if you travel out in the sticks and want great coverage, ATT/Verizon will probably be required if you want the highest level of connectivity. But for a city guy like me Sprint is fantastic.

I live in a suburb of Dallas....Bought a house about 1 mile from my childhood home...where I started out with Sprint. They have progressively become worse as far as coverage area. When I call and complain, they can see my signal is between great and non-existent just by walking a couple of feet from one side of my garage to the other.

The only problem is, I have such a cheap plan....it’s almost as if I would rather deal with the crap than pay more. I mean, I don’t really browse on my phone much and I don’t really use FB....so, I don’t even know why I have a Smart Phone, other than convenience.
