Old neighbor has one, they are fucking pimp. The dash looks like a giant vertical iPad. No buttons, knobs or anything. All just one large touch screen. Door handles retract until you approach them, leaving the car with just clean lines when not in use. If I was in the market for a 4 door luxury sedan, this would definitely be up there..

Supposedly they handle amazingly well for a big sedan because all the weight with the battery pack is in the floor.

What does a new 7 series BMW go for? $80K doesn't sound too crazy considering what you get and how it compares to other cars about the same size. How does the A/C work, how far will they go on a charge, and how long can the battery be expected to live?

Buddy at work is getting a used roadster and its not in yet so he got the Model S as a loaner. I'm sure the little roadster would be cool, but this sedan is something else.

I don't care for the econobox electric and hybrid cars at all, but I can get behind the new tech if its this fast and good looking.

Agreed on all counts. Not really my game, but by all reports they're incredibly well built, quick, and they do look good. The automotive world needs someone to come bust up the homogeneity, and Tesla may be the firm to do it.
