  • mid 80s Rolls Royce a bad idea for a daily?

I know it only gets 10mpg on the highway, but any other negatives?

DOHCTR would be a good one to ask about that. But I would really not recommend it. Not to say they are unreliable cars (but they really are), every single part on the car is proprietary. Even a small problem like a steering rack, brake caliper, window motor, etc. will cost you hundreds of dollars, most likely thousands. You can't get any of the parts locally either. Just very difficult cars to deal with. If there was any way to drive these cars on any reasonable budget you'd see more of them. You just can't do it.

Somewhere I have a photo of a $200k early '90s Rolls Royce Phantom convertible getting towed by my dad's $200 Cavalier station wagon, lol.

I would not drive a 10+ year old Rolls Royce if it was given to me. They are literally the most unreliable piece of shit cars that exist.

Sonofabitch. How can a car that has a factory wine chiller be so damn bad?

I used to see an older white Rolls all around Irving. Dude used to love buying lottery tickets. I've stood in line behind him for 10 minutes at a time. What a beating.

but once you got that first pull off your grape flavored philly blunt it was all worth while!

                    god bless.

                      recap

                      pros:
                      it's a Rolls Fucking Royce

                      cons:
                      everything else

Well, I had it narrowed down to a Rolls or a gold PT Cruiser. Thanks guys.

and clearly my SN95 making too much power is what led me to the conclusion that I need a daily in the first place. This thing is just not safe to be on the streets anymore.

The brits in the 80's fucked up a Honda's reliability. Imagine what a purely brit car would be like.
