      You'd be surprised. I did a manufactured drawing for a piece of equipment and I had to do all the measurements and spec work that goes into engineering. Took a fairly straight forward 30 hour project into roughly 90 hours.

      FWIW, it is always easier to do it correctly and to spec.

        yeah that would be fine with me, although, they have those rolls that are manufactured by another company and this cart has to work with those rolls. so i kinda need all the info on those rolls to even think about trying to engineer a cart for them

          Call the company that makes the rolls and ask if they have a supplier for the carts. You never know, you make spent 15 min and get the drawings emailed to you.

              Once you get it done, mock one up with MS Paint, turn it in first. When he has a worried look, give him the real thing!
