  • Trade opportunity f150 to cobra

I have a 97 ext. cab 4x4 XLT that runs great with the only flaws being one blown speaker, 178K miles, and the occasional CEL that goes on for a few hundred miles then goes off (P0455).

I posted it on CL a few weeks back looking for trade on a fox, 94-95 GT, or 94-98 Cobra, Lightning, etc. I received a clean trade option for a 97 red on black leather interior Cobra. 158K miles, etc. see below. Thats his email to me.

The Cobra has some mild mods. Nothing to the engine other than BBK cold air intake, Accel coil packs, Motorsport wires

    The rest are

    Bassani hi-flow cat x-pipe

    Flowmaster mufflers

BBK upper and lower control arms

    Motorsport C Springs

Koni adjustable front and rear shocks

    pro 5.0 shifter

recent clutch, pilot bearing, trans service

    new rotors new pads

    Rebuilt rear end

08 Cobra off set wheels 10.5 in back 8.5 in front

    New 285 40 17's in back

    New 255 40 17's in front

I bought it a year ago with 153K

    its got 158 now

    no wrecks

little spot of clear coat on hood

drivers door has a dent the smaller than the one on the tailgate of your truck

let me know what you think

The pics he has sent look decent. Interior's mint, exterior is shiney minus the clearcoat pop on the hood and the dent on the driver door. Opinions welcome.

Where I would normally agree with that statement, Im a poor sob and cant have a Daily and a toy anymore. So, i have to make the best of it. If I can get a clean V8 mustang or cobra, Ill sacrifice not having a truck.

I can assure you, that car is probably as rare as the cobra's in terms of combo.

But he's an idiot to run those wheels, wrong offset. Go that route and ask for cash.

The wheels are gay looking. Its hard to tell, but it def looks like the offset is wack.

Is the pic that bad or are the body lines?

They rub like crazy. I bought a 97gt to flip and put a set of 255's on those rims, they were rubbing bad on the inside.
