Just got an "armed men on campus" call

Baylor just called me and a prerecorded message played that said "Alert, two armed black males on campus. One in a black shirt, one in a white shirt. Stay indoors."


I live off campus so I am not in danger, but this is odd and I hope nobody gets hurt. Will give an update whenever I find out something else.

But in all seriousness this happens from time to time, but seldom on campus. About once a month a student gets carjacked close to campus, held at gunpoint, etc.

Hell not too long ago a kid got carjacked and the carjacker made him drive to the bank to pull all of his cash out... the kid went in and notified the police within the bank, but the gunman drove off. He was caught later that day because you never see a ghetto ass nog driving around a 2009 Saab in Waco.

I think that Baylor does a lot to prevent these kind of things from being well reported, so as to prevent the tarnishing of their image.
