BENBROOK, Texas -
A Union Pacific train derailed near the border of Tarrant and Parker counties.
Benbrook Fire Chief Tommy Davis said the accident happened around 5:30 a.m. Thursday on the line that runs along Aledo Road. A locomotive and four rail cars came off the track.
The 46-car train en-route to Dallas from Tucson, Ariz. had been carrying mostly paper products and not any hazardous materials.
But cleanup will still take a few hours. Union Pacific will need to bring in heavy equipment to upright the locomotive.
A spokesman for Union Pacific said at least one employee was hurt and taken to the hospital. His injuries are believed to be minor.
The cause of the derailment is still unknown.
