Ain't been in a long time, but I went a few times as a kid, so I would say family friendly.

I went last year. I thought it was pretty family friendly. I don't remember if I went on a peak day though.

Last time I was there, there were spray paint tags on rocks, etc. It's sad that people do that kind of stuff...I really enjoyed going there as a kid.

When wife and I used to go there was one spot we always got that was away from the general populace and close to the falls:

Only problem is on the way there is a lot of sharp rock and can cut the shit out of the average sidewall. Other than that, have some foam to lay down on the ground for a sleeping bag and enjoy the white noise of the falls that takes away from the normal frat-noise-like-douchebaggery.

Its free, well kinda of, but not like six flags prices, $8.00 per person IIRC.

edit, damn shit went up; http://www.turnerfallspark.com/park-rates/

Also, lots of snakes amd other vermin, take precautions.

We used to go camping up there, didn't realize the prices had jumped so much. That is really insane. I took my parents, woman and kids up Mt. Evans, it was $10/vehicle, for how ever long we wanted to stay on the mountain, and the scenery is a damn sight better than Turner Falls.

My parents went this past weekend, said they now allow alcohol and sell it there. Said there were a bunch of drunk people acting stupid.

Sweet, that means that most on here will fit right in.

I was thinking of taking the wife and kids. Going to check in on the cabins. Unless there is a better alternative.

Take what Blackpony said with a grain of salt, old people want a pristine quiet oasis. A few youngsters getting their drink on and hootin and hollerin and right away, the place is a dump, lol!
