Ford still cant make a decent automatic transmission or figure out how to set idle cruise speed

1999 ford escort zx2 dohc hot shales like crazy in gear at a stop ligjt
2008 f150 shakes in gear while at a stop light since new
2011 fusion shakes in gear while at a stop light
2013 ford escape eco boost shakes while in gear at a stop light

my father in law only buys ford and he says all cars just do that. Let him drive my silverado 2500 work truck and he was suprised how smooth the power was and how it didnt shake or vibrate the car at idle

I have not seen any 2004+ F150 dashes broken but maybe some are. 1997-2003 (2004 heritage) F150 dashes are usually not broken unless someone has stolen the radio out of them and destroyed the middle of the dash.
My 2006 F150 supercrew doors don't rattle and it rides pretty good IMO.
If the 07 F150 you have is an extended cab, I'll bet the doors rattle like a mofo since there is no B pillar.
yeah, its the regular cab with the little short doors for behind the seat access. No post.

Make sure the access doors are closed well. My ext gmc will rattle like its coming apart if they arent latched tight.

The no b pillar shouldn't be an issue. My truck has near 230k and 13 years old. No door rattles

I've driven my brothers 08 reg cab SXT quite a few times and never saw any problems with it. No rattles or squeaks. Didn't really see the back door as a blind spot, then again, I just check my mirrors and don't swing my head around to check for traffic.

Lolz. We just had a '99 F150 extended cab in here 15min ago and when you shut the driver's door, the entire side of the truck moves.

My friend had this issue with an 05 Ram regular cab he bought with 55k miles. It road ROUGH and the suspension was clunking. His 02 with 190k road better.

The trick is to stick with their trucks, I would never buy a Ford car. Even the new ones are still out for debate how well they'll hold up long term.

We've had several '97-'12 F150s in my family and they've all had nothing done but fluids, brakes, and wear and tear suspension replaced. Even the Lightning and Harley f150s have over 150k miles with bolt-ons and pulley swaps and they are still running like champs.

Oh and no Ram/Silverado dash cracking either

I never had any issues with my '06 Supercrew FX4. It was tighter then my wife's Honda Accord. It was slow as crap and the mileage sucked (I averaged 14.2 mpg over the life of the truck - mostly highway), but I really had no complaints other then that. Looking to get into a '13 Ecoboost FX4 in the next week, hopefully it'll be just as good of truck and actually have some power.

My 07 burned a bit between changes but it was a 4.8.

My 04 5.3 never burned anything noticable.

This one is a 6.2 and I'm not sure if they burning oil like the others.

I got 190k out of my stock trans on my F-350, pulling all the damn time, I was happy with that.

Sup Damon. I traded my 06 FX4 in yesterday on a '13 ecoboost 4x4 crew cab. fucking LOVE it. i dig that they got rid of the tunnel/hump in the back passenger area too. Feels great and I really like the low end torque, they say 90% of max tq is available from 1700-redline. I am purposely not watching the MPG chart on my first full tank and driving it like i would normally, so hopefully i'll have some real world mpg numbers soon. Next Friday we start on our move from Oregon to Virginia with a 8.5x16' enclosed trailer in tow, hoping the eco really shines where my 5.4 didn't. Also a lot of what im reading says dont mind the mpg until around 3k and then it starts getting better.

I'm approaching 200K miles on my '02 SuperCrew and no real issues. The only thing I've replaced was an AC compressor (clutch was rattling but took the advice of the shop and replaced the whole thing since it wasn't a whole lot more) and just had the rear end rebuilt with new bearings, etc. That's it other than regular maintenance. My only complaint is the gas mileage, I average between 13-15 MPG mostly highway. The best gas mileage I ever got was on a trip to Colorado where I averaged 18 MPG. Might hold onto it for another year or so before I go with a newer 5.0 FX4 SuperCrew.
