My fiance was in an organization at school and one of its members got arrested out in West Texas. When I looked him up we were all expecting drug possession or a DUI, what we found was possession of child pronography. The guy had been looking at pictures/movies provided by the FBI for six months before they got bored of jacking with him and arrested him. My objection to the laws against child pronography stem from the fact that a porn producer in Burbank California was sent to prison for producing child pronography when the actors he used were not children. The female was 22 years old, and the man 46.

I'm objecting to a law that allowed a 16 year old girl who had sexually explicit films she made of herself on her phone to be prosecuted for child pronography, sentenced to federal probation, and is now required to register for Life as a sex offender.

I'm objecting to a law where a mail order distributor of pornography prior to the big pornography boom on the internet was prosecuted and sent to federal prison for 35 years for distributing films of Traci Lords ( Traci Lords was 15 when she produced her first porno movie) when at the same time the defense pointed out that her movies could be rented in the adult section at Blockbuster Video across the country. The defense pointed out in their closing arguments that the laws against child pronography were written so vaguely that the movie Titanic under the letter of the law is child pronography. The prosecution acknowledged that the movie Titanic is child pronography but said that they had prosecutorial discretion in prosecuting the charge.

A person post puberty is not a child. ( by the way, the courts completely agree with me on this subject because we prosecute people as young as 12 for criminal offenses in adult courts and send them to adult prisons once they turn 17.) I'm not advocating for distributing porn or allowing porn with early teenagers in it but I am advocating for having different tiers of a criminal offense depending on the age of the person in the porn. Having a film of a girl that is 17 years old sucking someone's dick is not the same thing as having a girl who is 2 years old sucking someone's dick.

I object to the Roe v Wade ruling not because I have an issue with abortion, my objection stems from it being a piss poor law. My problem with the child pornography laws also stem from it being a piss poor law. If they would clean up the law and apply it evenly I would not have a problem with it.
