I'm glad you found him, Forrest! I know that sick feeling, when you can't find your dog...my German shepherd has found his way out a few times, and I felt the same way. One time he got out on New Year's Eve (fireworks were being set off and he fits scared when there are loud noises)...we searched and couldn't find him, so we called animal control...they called back and said that a German shepherd that matched his description (even the color of his collar) had been hit by a car and killed. They said they would have to wait until the following Tuesday (they were closed monday) to find out anymore info, so we basically spent the whole weekend upset, thinking he was gone. On Tuesday, my wife called me and said that someone a few miles away called animal control saying they found a German shepherd with no collar or tags...I got their info and met them at their house, and it was him. They said that he came up to them covered in mud and burs (or whatever you call those prickly things) all over him, so they gave him a bath and he apparently conked out, and he was basically their lap dog until I picked him up. They said that they planned to keep him if nobody claimed him, but they knew that he belonged to somebody. When I picked him up, we were all teary eyed...us for finding he was ok and them for having to give him up.

By the way he was panting and grinning, I do believe he had a grand old time.

No shit, since when did Plano/Allen become Rabbit USA? They are fucking up my yard and shitting everywhere. And they are not scared of humans either, I planted a baby tree in the spring and have to water it every few days til it hits the water table. So I'm out there the other night and one hops right over to where I'm watering, I turned up the hose and soaked his ass good, he hauled ass like he was on fire, lmao!

Oh and glad you got your buddy back, Forest. I lost my Chow-Chow once, I had the same feeling for two days, she came back dirty and oily like she had been sleeping under some cars. It was the best feeling to have her back.

I wish the ones in my neighborhood would eat the dallisgrass and clover out of my lawn...

The doctor said she saved her life.

Great news about your dog returning after his adventure and glad your wife was persistent about convincing her mom to go to the ER.

I hope you have him chipped, and get a collar on him with info.

glad you got ur dog back i know exactly how you felt.
early 90's my Doberman went missing for one month. she was my baby. we never thought we'd see her again. till one day my uncle said he drove by a house and saw her. some study motherfucker! had her in his back yard. myself and about nine of my cousins went to that house and told the guy it was my dog and we are going to get her back. one way or the outer
guy said no problem. she was about fifteen LBS underweight truly the happiest day of my life,
unfortunately SHELBY died in 2001 no i don't get like getting attached to pets,

He is chipped. He has a collar, just wasn't wearing it in the house. That's not going to happen again
