I can't find my dog as of approximately 10:30 last night. I was turning in to bed around midnight and he was nowhere to be found. We are at my parents' house in Richardson because my mother in law is in intensive care at Baylor.

I have stood outside with him every time I have taken him out. I can't figure out how he got out. He is not wearing his collar. There are tons of rabbits in my parents' neighborhood right now, and I feel like he took off after one and got lost.

I have driven every street and alley in the neighborhood twice, we have put up fliers and sent an email to the homeowners association hoping they will spread the word. I posted this while driving around looking for him.

This dog is pretty much my everything and I feel absolutely empty and worthless right now and my stomach is in knots.

Come 8am I'm going to start calling shelters. There's nothing I can do now but pray and wait. I'm exhausted but can't sleep for the churning guilt in my stomach. I just hope my baby boy is safe and I'm praying that I get to see him again. I feel selfish and ashamed for doing so with so many people all over the world truly suffering, but I just want him back I honestly want to cry because I know I'll feel better, but I can't. I go from the verge of tears to just numb and empty

I just heard my mom yelling up for me to open my bedroom door and there stood Bandit!

My dad said he drove around one more time, gave up, and was unpacking his truck (he got in from Colorado last night) and heard a whimper... looked down and there was Bandit smiling like the dickens as if nothing had happened.

Talk about an emotional roller coaster. This boy isn't leaving my sight! I finally cried when I was first hugging him

Thank you. She is actually doing much better and is going to be it off the ICU and hopefully out of the hospital this week. My wife essentially forced her to go to the emergency room because she was out of sorts and they found a large saddle embolism and multiple small embolisms in her lungs. The doctor said she saved her life.

              It's been a very emotional 72hrs

Oh I was... about 6hrs straight cold sweat, stomach in knots, feeling like I needed to throw up, etc. I am admittedly not the best at handling stress, but that was downright unbearable. I finally got to the point of mental exhaustion after hanging the fliers and sending that email.

He was grinning like a Cheshire cat... he's fixed and has never been one to wander off, but I'm vigilant about staying outside with him when we're here. I still feel awful that I somehow let him out and locked him out! He doesn't seem to be holding a grudge lol

Glad he came back. One of my great danes got out thanks to a landscaper last summer. Luckily while hanging the 2nd flier a woman stopped and said she had found her. I know that feeling of relief.

Ended better than when I lost my last dog. I had just got her back from the ex wife, She was covered in flees, and scabs, and mostly bald. Got her back to good health and she was happy as a camper.
One night I let her out and she disappeared. I searched for hours, and couldn't find her. Next morning my neighbor found her floating in his pool.

                              Glad you got him back.
