They remodeled the whole courtyard and built a science wing which eventually closed up the walkway that leads into the courtyard. Now, to enter the courtyard, you must go through the school. They did this around 2001.

The city shut the store down because they did 3 sting operations (every time the store re-opened) and found them to be selling weed to the students. Shut the store down and I guess eventually decided the only way to stop it was to remove the store.

I went to school with his wife from elementary to high school. His dad retired a year before I took Paint and Body, and so I got stuck with some dickhole teacher.

only Tyer I know was my Auto Paint and Body teacher at Irving high.

I attended Nimitz but had to go to Irving High for shop classes

I was free from that place ( Nimitz) in 1989

His dad was the $hit to talk too, so many stories and one hell of a fab/painter.

I remember sitting in their shop and in the corner, dusty as hell and just 'sittin' there was a SB400 with a Weiand 671 on top and a roller out back for it.

They had time to build it, just weren’t in a rush...lol

To be around some of those toys itching to get involved, just knowing that they dealt with that stuff on a day to day basis to the point they weren’t itching...just crazy
