Not really. For at least a year now he would just pop into threads and say something snarky, or leave a one-liner directed at someone and not say anything else. I had this exact conversation about 2 months ago with some other members that never noticed it either.

I'd seen some warning signs a while back that he was getting a little "different", based on some of his FB posts, and then on some personal convos we had (or didn't have) that were out of character for him. Nothing big, so I blew it off and just figured he was going through some changes in his lifestyle and friends, and it was changing his attitude some. Again, nothing necessarily wrong with that, and I never thought he would flip out like he has. And if he doesn't give a fuck, then good for him, or good riddance - whatever. I just know he's now given the finger to several people who considered him a friend, or at least a good guy, and who never did a bad thing to him.

If he wasn't well-liked and trusted for so many years, we wouldn't be still talking about him or wondering what's wrong. It would be a lot easier to be like "fuck this clown" if it were a newbie or someone like dammitsteve who has been like this forever.

I completely understand. I only met him once or twice, but he seemed pretty cool. I was just saying what you've affirmed- the change has been gradual, and not as sudden as this last outburst.
