Been going to thrift stores all of my life. Didn't always used to be like that. Goodwill went corporate and started getting into big stores and their prices skyrocketed. The independent stores or smaller chains like Arc, Thrift Town, etc are the better ones.
They take advantage of the developmentally disabled as a source for cheap labor, sometimes paying them as little as $0.22/hr. For that, they can get fucked. They'll never get any of my money again.
We needed some blankets for packing material during a recent move. We went down to the local Goodwill center, thinking they would be cheap. The prices ranged from $8/ea for a SHEET, to $28/ea for a blanket. WTF

I remember going there as a kid and getting a bag of toys for like 2 bucks, my aunt still goes here and tells me that on certain days they run specials
