We run our 6.0 3/4 ton chevy/GMC work trucks to 180-200k with minimal issues and these are used and abused oilfield trucks from the day they roll off the lot. So if the price is right I wouldn't worry too much about anything with 120k or less, depending on how long you plan to keep and drive it.

It have to be a 5.0 if it's a Ford, or at least 5.3 GM.

      I just got a 08 silverado 4x4 lt extended cab for 18k with 70, 000 miles
I'm looking for a good deal on a extended, quad cab. Either way, 2wd or 4wd, the truck will be lowered.

Probably, correct me if im wrong but I think they stopped making8ng the 4.6 motors all together. Gm also tends to run the same offer I wouldnt mind the 4.8 from gm its a solid motor

Ford stopped using the 4.6, but I'm pretty sure all STX's are V6's. I would definitely look at new truck if I could get one for $20k.

I like my F150 Supercrew Lariat 4X4 loaded with 124k on the odo for a 2002 and I would drive it anywhere. I love the truck and it is paid for.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Agreed. My 97 f150 4x4 is 177k on the odo and drives like new. Looks good too. Oh, and also paid for.

Good thread, as I'm in the market myself. Chevy/GMC/F-150 Crew Cab with no center console. I was thinking $20K and haggling down. Anybody know what's the norm on going down on trucks?

Good info....I'm about to sell my '11 Grand Cherokee that has 71XXX on it and I was a little nervous that the mileage would be an issue. Seems like the miles aren't nearly as scary as they used to be.

Try picking up the saturday dallas morning news. Lots of new car auto ads

according to commercials I would pay 19k for an ecsb truck and 24k for the king cab. These would be 2x4 models

my dad got an stx with a v8 but that was a few years ago

Ive owned it for the past 4-5 months, since then I have cleaned the fuel system, rebuilt the air pack, cleaned the injectors, replaced every filter on the truck and it has two brand new optima yellow top batteries and have been relocated in the bed.

The truck needs work on the electrical system, I have a brand new 3 lever switch that will come with it. IMO, id buy a new front wire harness and be done with it ($200 from surplus stores)

The truck fires up insanely great, and stops like a champ. I have driven it around town and people literally stop and just stare at you haha
