  • How do you lower a Ford Explorer?

I am planning to fix up my old 95 Explorer for a kid and had some ideas in mind. Its a just a 4dr 2wd, v6 so not looking to do much aside from appearance.

How do they lower these? I'm not looking to dump a bunch of money in suspension mods or wreck the ride quality really bad.

Also, Ford Explorer, 94 and up Mustang, Ford Crown Vic all share the same wheel bolt pattern? I would like to find a set of the factory Crown Vic wheels like these if you happen to know of any for a good price.

I believe they share the same suspension as a Ranger. Enjoy yoseff!

Dropped I beams, possibly a flip kit and notch the frame. Going to be a learning experience for you lol.

I've lowered a few several years ago. Is 95 still Ibeams up front? They made special beams for the explorer if I remember right. Rear was just lowering blocks I believe.

Oh yea, 93 was last year of the ibeams. So you are probably gonna have to do dropped coil springs
