I know, but A/C scares the shit out of people because of how much it costs to get it fixed. I have never been able to sell a car without it.

Why $350 anyway? Why not just hit up a junkyard for a compressor and be done with it?

Like I mentioned, if I fix the A/C I will end up keeping it a while longr and saving money to upgrade later, so I will replace with a new unit.

I got my blazer for $2500 and everything works on it and is a v6. I bet $2200-2500 is what you'll get with the issues. Fix the ac and keep it. Lets set it down in the weeds and clean it up. You'll want to keep it then.

I keep goin back and forth! I love this truck and would still love to get a 5.3 and 6 speed in it. If I drop it and change the wheels, it will be REAL hard for me to let it go!

Yeah, it amazes me the number of people who can't drive one. I guess that is par for the course. All of those people in their own little worlds travelling the highways and byways. Stick shift means they can't check their facebook...

Like somebody else said, fix the AC and drive it. That thing should run forever even if ou beat the piss out of it.

For your back issues, try a lumbar pad or something, those are a lot cheaper than a car payment.
