Originally posted by bcoop View PostMeh, whatever. I grew up there, and I like it there. My hood is nice and quiet, with the exception of that one house. Which, is about to be a non issue, according to the cops that patrol our beat. We are kind of tucked away, so no through traffic I suppose helps with what you said about crime of opportunity.
If I were to move, it would only be to one of three places. A loft in Downtown Dallas or FW, our ranch, or a beach. Since I have kids, a loft downtown isn't realistic, so it's either going to be the ranch, or a beach.
I might as well have made this post myself. 100% agreed and with the same thought process about Arlington and where else I'd live. I'm perfectly happy in my non baller non McMansion in the neighborhood I want to be in.

Originally posted by jluv View PostHopefully your neighborhood stays decent. The one I grew up in was very nice all through my childhood. Sadly, it's pretty trashy now. Heck, the neighborhood we're in right now was pretty nice 5-10 years ago, but its declining rapidly right before our eyes.Originally posted by PGreenCobraI can't get over the fact that you get to go live the rest of your life, knowing that someone made a Halloween costume out of you. It's been there since 66, so hopefully nothing changes. My parents old neighborhood looks about the same. I think SE got the worst of things after Katrina.
