Pretty sad when you quote a definition of the phrase that is counter to your argument.

Do you not think the possibility of an in-progress crime can't articulate imminent?

I do not make it a habit to walk around folks house and jiggle the knobs unless I am dispatched to that residence for a reason. Lets all face it we do not want random fuckers walking around in our house. I have known lots of Officers and can say over the years there may have been one or two I wouldn't want in my house. If I am dispatched to your house for a random BMV follow up or some other kind of bullshit I have no intentions of even touching your door handles or sliding glass window. I don't want to be in your house anymore then you want me there.
And it is posts like this that renew my faith in police officers and is the reason I'm respectful to them

And case law does not override the Constitution no matter what the SC says. SC also said internment was fine, rounding up Americans without due process and some officers were all too happy to help with that. You'll excuse me if I don't defer to an unelected, unaccountable group of 9.

LOL, that is pretty close.....youre warm.

I dont know how many times ive come on here and said police do not know the laws. Just more proof.

I love how in this JBT's eyes that an open door = imminent robbery in progress.

Apparently fresh air = imminent robbery

the real reason cops walk in open doors is because they are JBT's that have no respect for the fourth amendment, and they believe that it is 'open to the public' . They just want to go in, look around and see who they can arrest. It's your standard book of nefarious shit youre allowed to do when you 'are the law' .
But this JBT doesn't know what fucking case laws actually allow this two bit shit to walk all over your rights. You don't need a big ass brain to figure this out. You just need to throw a lot of parties at apartments!

Oh don't forget to go fuck yourself JBT!

Question for the LEOs: Say a Texas officer sees my patio door open, identifies himself, comes in, & looks around & sees a bong or something. Does said officer then use that as cause to look around & find my stash? Do I then get a ride to Lewis Derrick?

For the record, I think its bullshit that the cop just rolled up into her house. Hell to the nah. If I came home from walking my dog & had my gun on me & I felt threatened, would it be ok to shoot?

Also this is all hypothetical for you literal fuckers.

If you shoot him in your home it's your word against his...well, it's your word that he came into your home unannounced and you felt threatened so you shot him (assuming you killed him). And it would be well deserved. Come into my home without an invite, you are taking a risk.

For you LEOs, it's only gonna get worse from here. You are government agents and our government is raping us at will...your thankless job is getting more thankless.

Are you home or not? I have approached many a open door and identified myself loudly. Homeowner says hello. I just tell them I saw an open door and wanted to make sure there was not a break in. My old city had so many burglaries it was not surprising to find a door kicked in or called in on.

A couple of years ago I went into a home that had the door kicked in. We caught the kids before they got anything. There were several sketchy items in the house. I secured the door and left a door hanger with a service number. Surprisingly they never called. I figure it probably freaked them out enough to get the point. Now 500 lbs of Heroin. Ehhhh I would say back out and go get a warrant.
                      Whos your Daddy?

Not home like the lady in the story. If I'm home, I'm not worried about you coming in without a warrant or an invite & there's no reason for a warrant or an invite unless I'm calling to report a break in.

Would the cops go through my shit then return with a warrant? This is the part that's important to me. It's the whole, no probable cause until you came in & looked for one, thing that concerns me.
