See, others and sometimes YOU appear exactly the same way to me - on this forum. If you do the same as the bible thumpers, you're just as bad in my opinion.

I respect why people have chosen not to have the same beliefs I do. We're not changing each others mind, so why keep bickering about it? In this thread I REALLY don't get the complaints. So what, the dude pointed to the sky and it MAY be due to his beliefs.

      lol, I don't know why, but L O L.

Kinda the same reason I joined in today. Work is slow, and I'm entertaining myself.

Now I'll just go back to posting pictures of my toy airplanes in the picture post.

Read Danny's post. The OP was looking for a religious argument, and I'm all about giving the Roman throngs what they ask for.

I'd ignore them if they didn't bitch moan and complain about it every time they feel slighted, or bring it up when some menial thing happens. I'm looking at you, Tim Tebow.

Sometimes I just prefer to not voice my opinion. The persecution, humiliation, and dehumanization that atheists undergo in society is a bit overwhelming for most folks, and sometimes for me, too, so most of the time I don't say anything about it.
Atheists, distrusted more than child molesters and hated more than muslims, according to a 2006 paper.

I bet if he grabbed a prayer mat and dropped down to thank Allah they would not have said or done a thing.

This. And I think he would've been OK if he could've waited to point to the sky after he crossed the finish line.

Yeah, rules are rules - that's fine. As far as I can tell from the article, "they" are sticking to them too (which is acceptable, if equally strict across the board).

Are HS sports really that strict these days? The few sports I participated in, if I won - I did a little happy something or another. Regardless of reason, that does seem strict. (i.e. a fist pump or whatever is generally acceptable as a non-offensive, religious or whatever gesture)

Personally, I think everyone is a little sensitive these days and that's on all sides of the fence(s).

I'm not sure how old you are, but there was a time where people celebrated and didn't make an ass of themselves. Sadly that isn't the case anymore so there are rules in place such as the one the kids got hit with.
