Bought a "short sale" property? I have a friend that is interested in one...but they have no exp. in short sales. Anyone know much about them?

I know they can be a pain in the ass, a time consuming process. 9 times out of 10 they just turn into bidding wars between buyers.

PITA. My parents tried to buy one and finally gave up after going back and forth with sellers, their agent, and the mortgage company. It was the worst experience they ever had.

I bought my house on a short sale. biggest problem is getting the bank to accept your offer. Owner accepted my offer then bank up it twice, 2k a pop before settling on purchase price. took along time but still got a great deal.
