I found this plate on eBay, and thought it sounded too good to be true. I'm looking for YOM plates for the 69.

I called the tax office and asked them about them, and they said I could bring the plate and transfer it, no problem. I asked her to check just for fun and make sure they werent taken: there are 7 cars registered to that plate.

So will this work for newer cars as well or just old ones?

if there is a YOM plate available, you can register it as a classic or antique and run them.

Even though only one is required, you have to bring both to get it registered. At least that's how it was when I did it with some YOM plates awhile back.

I think that is up to whomever is diong it at the tax office. Antique plates only issue one, so replacing it with two is dumb, but that is the way the law is written.

EX: my buddy only bought one plate for his jeep, and they were ok with it. I was just told this morning I only needed one.
