had two of my first year apprentices get in a scuffle at work today. they've been talking shit on each other since the job started a month and a half ago, but they are in the same class and we even go to lunch together a few times a week. well today i was taking one down to the job site and he jumped off the razor and said, "its all good ive been eating steaks.." he jumps off the buggy and walks up to the other kid, i dont know what was said, but the next thing i know i turn around and the 'other kid' has his saftey vest/shirt over my guys head and is straight hockey punching his ass.
i run over and break them up, ask what the fuck is going on, and cant get a solid answer. So i split them up and put them on opposite sides of the building trying to avoid further confrontations. at the end of the day i had to load our generator back into the buggy and specifically asked those two to come help me do it. once it was loaded the 'other kid' tried to walk off all hurried like. i slapped his arm and told him come back. I told them both "ya'll fucking shake hands, (they did), we're all grown men here and no one needs to be putting their hands on anyone. we're gonna be out here for a year plus and im not gonna have yall beefin' the entire time. kiss, hug, make up or make out whatever you gotta do to get over this shit, and i dont wanna hear shit else about it tomorrow or ever." they both agreed, shook hands and called it good.
FTR the steak kid is 23 from the colony, and the ass whooper is 20 from maypearl. the funny part is maypearl kid was still strapped in his seatbelt whoopin up on the colony kid. LOL.
