I've never sat down and watched the show but it has some street cred. It was created by the lead singer of The Aquabats (ska band) and have some pretty impressive guests and bands. That red character was even in the Kia commercial with the life-size sock monkey.

I just picture it being a new-age Seseme Street. Which has a purple vampire, a monster who lives in the garbage and I still don't know what the shit a snuffaluffagus is.

My wife...when she was just a toddler was at the mall in her stroller. She saw some Sesame St poster which had Snuffy on it. She started pointing and yelling at it all excited and doing her best to pronounce "snuffaluffagus".....instead sounded like "fucktheugliest! fucktheugliest!". Her Mom was so embarrassed and old ladies were giving them the stink eye.

I don't see anything wrong with the Yo gabba thing, just an observation my wife and I had.
