Lol that's the way the first tank should be!

My last average was for about 1,200 miles mixed driving, it was 20.8.

If only they would have kept the nicer body of the 05-09 with out rounding every damn corner and adding plastic all the way around the bottom.

            GT500>Boss, what's your point?

To the OP, welcome to September 2010. While saying that Ford has needed this for 30 years might be a stretch, I would say that definitely since 1993, they have needed to step it up with the powertrain. It's pretty sad that it's been 18 years since GM started putting a six speed manual in camaros and firebirds, and Ford just now started putting them in non-cobra mustangs.

What it really needed was what it got in 2011. For around 30 freakin years, the mustang line has needed this car. Sure they've had some fast cobras, but this is their best GT ever. Making the best affordable fast stang ever. Anyone else think its awesome that they finally did this? I wouldn't doubt that with a couple fairly minor mods, the car can easily see 500hp.
Waaaaiiiiiittttttt a second.....................The 2011 Mustang GT has more than 300 HP???? When did this happen?

              You just blew my mind!

We're about 4 years away from top fuel horsepower.

                      Totally agree.

Cash flow permitting some time down the road, I'd rather put a 2011 motor in a 2005-09 than buy the new body style. Then again, maybe the next body style will get it right.

I read somewhere that we walked on the moon for the first time a couple years ago, I don't know if I buy it though.

The /M3 has had 400hp+ for years now, and "affordable" is laughable. $40k for a Mustang?

M3 is a nice, direct comparison and good job on your use of the price you'd pay for an absolutely loaded out model! Your use of "years" seems to imply that the M3 has had that power for a lot longer than the 3 years it has had it for, lest we forget the horrific reliability of the E46 cars that came before the E92.

M3 has had 400hp for what? 2-3 years? Plus, it's twice as much as a mustang is. $40k for a mustang is expensive, but what did everybody demand from Ford? Better quality cars. So they've improved the interior/exterior(opinion) quality of the mustang, and DRASTICALLY improved the powertrain, suspension, and other components. That costs money believe it or not.

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.
