For those of you about to renew. They have come up significantly. I was at 7.5 cents per kwh average billing with Reliant and they were trying to jump me to 9.2 kwh. That was the negotiated price, initially it was 10.2. Could not find any thing better than 8.9 cents on power to choose for my area. Just a heads up.

I got 9.2 locked for 1 year w/ no fees through Ambit on my new house, the rates literally jumped .3-.4 cents from a week before I called.Originally posted by PGreenCobraI can't get over the fact that you get to go live the rest of your life, knowing that someone made a Halloween costume out of you. Questions for you guys that shop around, this will be the first time I have signed up for a new provider at the same time as my contract expiring on my old service. Can I sign up a few days early without incurring any kind of termination fee or should I wait till my contract is up?
**EDIT** Nevermind, just signed up for the REACH service and it let me choose my start date.Last edited by Lason; 06-05-2013, 09:39 AM.

I figured the rates were going to go up soon because there were so many "3 month contracts" in the 6.x range on powertochoose. You just knew they were gonna snipe your ass with high rates after that. When the government pays, the government controls.

Yes, prices have been climbing for us on the Commercial side for the last couple of months, but still very reasonable.
