I hope we can stay under 4%, waiting for a call from my lender telling me she's locked in a rate

That's what I got last summer. Our new house is $75K more expensive but the payment isn't even $100 greater than our old home which was financed at 6.9%

        Very happy.

Dang it. If I would have locked in the day before it would have been sub 3. They bumped up the day after the first Presidential Debate.

If you weren't already locked, the likelihood of getting below 4.000% without buying down the rate is slim to none unless we get a bounce next week.

Hell it was hard for me to justify the home purchase decision from a financial perspective.

I'm fairly happy with the 3.75% 30yr/fixed I got this time last year... I knew it wasn't gonna get a lot lower and eventually it will go way up, so good enough for me.

Maybe Im the only one that didnt buy at 100% of my possible budget and dont care as much about my interest rate. Im at 4% will hopefully have the house paid off in 5 years. If I can sell my property this year, it will be paid off.
