I'm in the same boat as you, been looking for one for kid hauling duty since my wife plowed into a deer before Christmas, craigslist is a fucking joke... seems each POS has 200,000+ miles on it and they still want $3k-$4k. for a mid-nighties car. Called on one a couple days ago asking about the mileage, guy claimed low miles in the description, actually had 170,000 miles.

Even better is the asshats that say something like "car runs great, but has blown head gaskets" or "drives great, but only has reverse". That shit makes want to punt a fucking kitten.

    /rant off.

I have a coworker who has a car she wants to get rid of. its a 2001 pontiac sunfire. apparently the motor is knocking and the water pump is bad. she already got a replacement car and just wants to get rid of it. she called 1 salvage yard and they offered her $300 which is crazy. anyone have any leads or options?

got a 01 focus has new rear tires new ac timing belt all maintence the motor either needs to be rebuilt, get a new motor, or find out which valve spring is fucked and replace that.

i'll take 1500 on the pos or i'll wait till tax time throw it on ebay and see what it goes for.

fyi used engine at junkyard is like 300 bux for the thing.

Oh and my sister has a 96 Mark VIII for sale. It's in decent shape and runs good. She is asking $2000 for it, but she is very negotiable.

I was checkin out CL a while back and saw some decent cars for under $2k, get the cash and jump on the needle in the hay stack when you find it. The good ones never last long.

I'm in the same boat. I haven't owned a car since I sold my mustang. But I'm looking for an e36 m3.

My California tags expired on my 88 coupe daily, so i might be looking to sell it lol! Or I'll trade it for an out of state tagged car. I drive the tollway a lot, and i'm never paying another toll again, ever.

Yea Obama's cash for clunkers program has killed the cash car market.

In the past you could find a good car at 3K-4K now they are all POS cars that are really worth 1k to 1.5k.

I've got a 94 Acura Integra 4 door gsr with a 5 speed that I would like to get $2k for, but make me a reasonable offer and come get it out of my driveway. I need it gone ASAP.

Also my neighbor has a Mercury Grand Marquis, I a think 2000, with 130k that she is asking $2k for it as well. I think she would take less if you bring cash with you and make an offer.
