DPW Case Manager Accused Of Offering Benefits For Sex
    May 28, 2013 8:50 PM
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A state welfare worker is facing charges after allegedly offering benefits in exchange for sex.

The District Attorney’s office says the Department of Public Welfare case manager John Geary told a woman he would give her extra cash and extra benefits if she engaged in sexual acts with him.

According to the police criminal complaint, Geary also repeatedly asked the woman to smoke crack with him on the weekends when his wife was working and his children were asleep in their North Versailles home.
Geary has worked for the DPW in McKeesport for a decade. Geary who is a husband, father and a department of public welfare case worker for a decade is now held for court on bribery and promoting prostitution charges.
The director of the halfway house was the one who first notified authorities about Geary’s behavior because the victim was too scared to blow the whistle.

“She’s probably scared to say anything about this because for fear she’ll lose benefits and be ostracized by this man in his positions,” Mike Manko with the DA’s office. “She doesn’t know he can do to her benefits-wise, take away money, take away food stamps, things like that.”

Police think there may be more victims as Geary allegedly told the woman that he had done the same thing with women in the past.

Girl with Dragon Tattoo? Didn't end well for that guy. Maybe Geary should have watched the movie all the way first.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.
