Cops gun down citizen, paid vacation and delay until the story blows over.

Citizen shoots cop? Guy is killed, his name is drug through the mud and if he does fight them to a standstill, they keep calling in more reinforcements or pull a Ruby Ridge and just kill him and his family with snipers

Where some dude that works for the city will roll out the case as to why the whole thing was the old man's fault. I'm sure it will be completely unbiased with the millions of dollars in liability the city faces.

At least the civil courts exist so his family might have some recourse.

Wanna see my issue Sig P220?

    No light.

    Wanna know something even funnier?

I was never issued a flashlight.

He wasn't even old enough to have served during Korea.

Hoodlums with a gun murder a man on his own property making sure his possessions were secure. Fuck 'em. Send them to jail for murder

How did he know it was the cops? Anyone can say "police, drop the gun".

Dumb asses go both ways, ex cop. Nice to see you blindly backing the badge though.

    Jimmy hasn't responded...

It's dark, in the middle of the night. It says he was in his garage, but the lights may have been off. Need more evidence before I say FTP on this one. If he really did refuse to drop the gun, then I obviously see no problem.

Not making excuses. Before you go through the hiring process, they make it known you will have to one day make a split second decision that could change everything. Unfortunately it sounds like that decision turned horrible.
