Who the heck is telling 3rd graders it's cool? If you're talking about TV shows, then it's the same thing telling kids that violence, sex, partying, etc are cool. And it's up to the parents to screen that stuff from their kids and help them make sense of it all when the time is right. That is true, but it would be so incredibly rare for a recessive trait to be carried on for several thousands of years with no breeding within those that assert the recessive gene.

I'm more inclined to agree with that study I quoted earlier showing that the DNA can be altered after conception and possibly in the very womb causing the possible disposition towards homosexuality.

BTW, I simply consider this an academic discussion. Even as a Christian, I want us to love everyone as Christ did and taught us to do. I think a lot of the debate against homosexuals has been nothing more than an excuse to hate them. Most Christians may not be as bad as Westboro Baptist but that hate is definitely there and is not Christ like by any stretch.

Fwiw, I've requested sources for the study citations. We shall see if they satisfy the naysayers and those who choose to perpetuate the societal bent towards bucking responsibility for choices and the attempt to invalidate someone based on their background as a Christian, even though it was never mentioned in this article/study.
