I know I'm a little late to the party but Deep Ellum's IPA is pretty nice. It's hoppy obviously, I mean it's an IPA so it's supposed to be but it's not a lingering bitterness. It's also sold in cans!

There are literally hundreds of great IPAs available and thousands of beers that'd go well with what you are looking for.

Revolver's stuff isn't sold in cans or bottles, kegs only. Their bottling line should be setup by July but until then you can't buy it in small portions. Blood and Honey is a great beer though, as are all the other ones they make. They also just added two more fermentation tanks last week so expect to see more of their stuff soon.

My current favorite for all things outdoors though is Hops and Grains - Pale Dog. It's a small Austin brewery that cans everything and their cans look more like soft drinks than beer. This one in particular looks looks more like a Coke can, especially when in an koozie. It's got a lot of hoppiness up front but no aftertaste and it's very smooth. They are also $6.50 for a 6 pack at Spec's.

Hopefully more breweries jump on the can bandwagon. I love my Rahr beers but you can't really take them to festivals, the lake, the track, floating, etc...
