    Heading to Houston

    Is there anything terribly interesting to do in Houston next week? I have a meeting down there during next weekend and outside of that, I tend to stay in my hotel room. While I will probably still do that, I'd like some options and you guys tend to know what's going on and where.

    Go tour NASA if so inclined. It is just south of the city off of 45. I find it interesting to,say the least. If you like off Broadway shows, there is a venue downtown for that. Check the Internet for that. Wife and I saw Phantom of the Opera there. I am sure there are many other things to do there other than sit in a hotel room. Get out, live life.

          I'll have to check out Champs. Since the shuttles were mothballed, is there anything at NASA to see left or was it all packed up?

            Yeah, you can drive 45 minutes east and come see me in Winnie. Jeep, beach, guns, boat for fishin, etc.

                    Go see the battleship Texas. It's pretty cool. The san Jacento (sp) monument is nearby also.

                            Get some beef fajitas at El Tiempo. Best fajitas in the city. St. Arnold's brewery does a cool tour on the weekends too(free beer).
