You're not providing legal responsibility. If you fail to protect me, what repercussions do you face? Am I permitted to sue you for failure to save me? If you tell me you are on the way to my home being burglarized and you do not show up, can I sue you personally? Tell me. What legal responsibility and what punishment for failure to perform your 'serve and protect' function?

Beat a dead horse much? I've already addressed your drivel on the matter in one of your repetitive FTP threads. You already know the answer to that you dolt. You cited the court ruling in multiple threads.

Now, can you get back to talking about things you know nothing about? Or maybe touch on the rampant sexual assaults in the military. I'm sure they are isolated incidents. But it is blasted all over the news like a FTP article would be.

Are you going to sue them for trying and not accomplishing how you wanted it done.

Hell, I saw a couple of Texas Rangers hit long fly balls that should have been home runs. BRB, gotta call my attorney and sue them!

How I want it done? Of course not. Failure to do it at all? I'd love to have that option. Then again, I'd love to see cops held to the same rules as citizens AND to see any time a cop 'loses' dashcam footage during an investigation, them being charged with destruction of evidence and punished. Especially when they claim someone 'tripped.'

You're involved in a shootout and cops take 90 minutes to respond? Should be a suit against the dispatch. Someone kicking down your door threatening to kill you and no one shows up? Lawsuit. IF there was someone on duty who did not respond to you, if there was not something as serious going on (pretty sure someone trying to kill someone tops the list) and you don't respond, you should be held responsible.

Like those neat squads and computer systems that are taxpayer funded? Use them to do what it says on the bloody cars.

As far as it goes with Jamison (I really need to learn to multiquote), it's not drivel. It's law. How would you like it if a surgeon fucked you up and you couldn't sue him for his fuckup? You'd probably be pretty pissed. Especially if they could decide at random to invade your privacy, force you into an encounter and ruin your life at will.

Yes, let's talk about the sexual assault case. Do you see me coming up with excuses? No. You see me calling for swift and severe punishment and dishonorable discharge. Cops however never call for other cops to lose their badge and go to jail.

Looks like there were plenty of cops to raid a medical pot place:

Well, you keep intentionally omitting pertinent facts.

The drug raid was on a Thursday, and the article above says that the department is open Mon-Fri. The attack happened on a weekend when here was no service.

Nope, not omitting facts. We are told that there are such limited funds that police cannot respond to a felony in progress. What they CAN respond to, in force, is to a misdemeanor that is legal under state law

What part of policing isn't a Monday through Friday gig do YOU not get? Criminals don't take the day off on weekends after 5. If there was a single cop on duty that was not handling something that equals that offense, then he should be fired and blacklisted from the profession with someone else who can prioritize in his place.

I'm guessing they had all 6 cops in on this raid?
