That's them...for some reason I was thinking that there were 12, but there are definitely 24. They definitely last a while!

A lot of the BGE guys, just use one of these to start charcoal in the eggs:

I use my propane burner on the side of my gas grill with my chimney. Turn it on high, place chimney full of charcoal on burner for 2-5 minutes.

34lbs vs. 120+lbs for same price

Believe it or not, but 34lbs gets burned up pretty quickly around me.
I cook at least 6 times a week on my grill.

I do the exact same thing.
Screw newspaper or even the starters.

I wish my side burner worked on my gas grill. That's a good idea.

What kind of grill do you use? I usually cook at least 4 or 5 times a week on mine, and so far have used two 10 lb bags (got when I first go t the grill, and maybe 1/4 of the Stubbs bag. When I cooked my brisket for 13 3/4 hours, I bet I still had almost half the firebox full of useable coal still. Grilled burgers and sausages on it next, without adding any. Now that I'm learning how to use it better, I'm using less coal.

                    No.

I also use the side burner on the gas grill to start it.

I get that, but I believe even BGE says not to use compressed charcoal, in the manual. Just like you're not supposed to use lighter fluid.

Thanks for sharing, but I don't have a BGE and I don't need the BEST either.
I am more so about cost efficiency.
Same reason I purchased this grill instead of a $700 BGE.
