Maybe she's going to take a hyphenated last name instead.

I rarely wear my ring. I am a mechanic as well and the first day I tried to wear it, it got stuck between a transmission and the tunnel and I couldn't get my hand out. I have only worn it maybe 10 times since then and I have been married for 10 months now. Hell, I forget I have one most of the time and the wife doesn't care if I wear it or not. She knew I wouldn't wear it very often to start with.

Looks like we already know who's going to be the bitch in this marriage. Put your damn pants on boy!

          Who is this?

BTW, all bets are of, even with a Hyphenated name.

Wow, and I thought I was easily entertained!

But really, just wear it. That is a small sacrifice compared to the one you made when deciding to tie the knot so to speak. Like what was said above, she took your name (assuming there is no hyphen). You'll get used to it at one point.

FYI, this is coming from an unmarried 36 year old male (by choice, I like my freedom/selfishness), so take it for what it's worth.

Edit: Where's the evil jose option in the poll? Or the "damn, I'm not married and you're a fool for getting married" option?

I dont wear mine. I refuse to wear any kind of jewerly just never been a fan. I don't even wear a wrist watch. Plus it helps that I'm not allowed to wear rings to work lol.

i hated the way mine felt at first, but now I'm so used to it, that it feels strange when it is off. I wear mine most the time, but I do work with high voltage @ work, so sometimes it needs to come off for safety.

                            Ring

I have worn mine for 19 years this week. I actually thought about just getting one tattooed on because I do maintenance/ electrical work and I have been lucky I have not lost it.

If you're bitching about wearing a wedding ring, doesn't sound like you are anywhere close to being ready to be married.

Been married 9 years. Wore the ring on my wedding day, and haven't since then. It's not that I don't cherish my wife, or the symbol of mairrage that the ring represents, but I just don't do jewelry. Never have, never will.
