Yeah. I'd like to beat the shit out of a couple of them. Leave these grieving people alone and stop asking them stupid ass questions.
In December 1996 our next door neighbors 10 year old son was murdered in his home. We opened up our home to the parents because the police wouldn't let them in their home. The press found out and were shining lights in our windows, ringing the doorbell and banging on the front door, and even got our phone number and kept calling our house trying to get an interview with the grieving parents until around 1 am when the police MADE them get off our lawn. A reporter from the Dallas Morning News showed up at the funeral service, snuck in a back door of the church..and then tried to interview the older son IN THE CHURCH before I notified the police and had his ass thrown out. News reporters are SCUM.
Me and my chase crew were up near there chasing today. Just by change we decided to chase the storm just south of the Moore storm. Devastatingly sad day. My chase partner and I carry trauma kits and search and rescue equipment just for such instances, I wish we had been up tracking the Moore storm so we could be helping. Very crazy, I was watching it happen on radar as I had a friend who's house was on the edge of the damage area. Scary bad situation. Prayers out to all of Moore.
The news said it was near Moore around 3pm till I got home from picking up my sons from school at 3:30 that it had hit Moore head on,I am truly shocked at the devastation to our neighbors to the north.
Scary shit. I went to school in Shawnee, and the year I drove up to move into the dorm we drove through Moore and all that was left that you could see from the highway was the foundation of a strip mall. Now they get hit again. Pray for OK.
I have friends and family all around where this thing hit I have managed to contact all of them and they are ok. My aunt said they saw the tornado coming right for their house and it lifted at the last sec. This has been a stressful day trying to contact all of them and checking on them. I need a drink.
The wall cloud that produced that tornado was rotating pretty good as it went over my house. Luckily all we got was some much needed rain but it came with about 30minutes of hail.
Do you live in Henrietta? Do you know if it came close to HWY 287 and New York RD?
My brother lives in Nichols Hills (like OKC's Highland Park). Been texting back and forth all day. Here are a few:
Our neighbors were on their way back from dallas and stopped at the theater that got hit down there to ride it out, not knowing the tornado was headed right for it. They have no idea where their new bmw is. Got swept up and taken away from the parking lot. They had to walk for an hour and half north on 35 until it wasnt blocked off by police so a family member could pick them up.
Not deadliest but will be most destructive. Saying it covers about 3 times the area as one of the other top F5s (also in moore in 199
Meteorologists said 300+ mph winds. It was slow moving. Was on the ground for an hour and only went 20 miles. The center of the storm was 2 miles wide at one point with a debris ball close to 3
