There's something nasty blowing up over us, but it's going to break easy of us. If I was betting money, I'd bet the storm line will run from Mineral Wells to Corsicana.
ZOMBIE REAGAN FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!! heh

I'll have to catch up on this thread later because I've been at a conference all day. If anyone has questions about storm shelters specifically, PM me. My company almost got into the business on a joint project with Dupont. They went forward with the product using several of our products, but we backed out. We also work with a few other companies that sell proprietary storm shelter items, and I'm familiar with the FEMA prescriptive plan as well. They work and have undergone serious testing. I wish my house had one.

Just generally, how much does something like that cost to build?

I believe my wife was looking at options in the $10 - $12k range. Then again, it was my wife talking so I wasn't really paying that much attention.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Dang. Do they have some options that don't include a cow skin rug?

                      • From what I'm seeing on websites, small ones for 4 people run 5k or so plus installation. You can also get kits to build your own

                              • All ok at my house. The neighborhood I moved out of late last year was leveled. I'm waiting to confirm but I believe my fathers place is gone as well..
The school children are trapped in is where my son is supposed to start Pre K in August.
I believe several of my good friends have lost their houses as well. I can't get to the area to check anything.

I left work when the storm was developing and tried to get home, my wife and son were in a shelter. I ran into the back side of the storm and stuck behind storm chasers.

Edit: I didn't proof read this and am posting while sitting in traffic, been a stressful couple of hours. Sorry if it doesn't make sense
