I'm older, short haircut, kept my nose clean for the last 30 years. Police don't really fuck with me at all. In all, Police around or not, I feel safe. Being aware of your surroundings can make you feel safer and a LOT more prepared.

However, meanwhile there are hundreds/thousands of hoods that have serious crime problems and the police won't enter them or rarely do. I do not really understand why these areas are not patrolled/watched non-stop. i.e. the known one about a few blocks from the White House being a crime area.

Don't take an unfounded story, or what you see on line as true.

There is nowhere in FTW that goes without service. Even the worst places of town get responded to when called. I'd even go so far as to say they get MORE presence because of the activity.

When I had a beat, I wanted to work those areas because the chance to get into a chase was very high.
